The Progressive Playground

In San Diego, you’re bound to rediscover your inner child.  Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park…all of these popular attractions will keep you and your companion entertained with a smile on your face.  When you’re done playing around, head to Hillcrest, the city’s GLBT neighborhood, where you’ll find a parade of bars, restaurants and shops.

With one of the largest gay and lesbian districts in the United States, gay pride is a way of life in San Diego.  The city that is home to the country’s first openly gay district attorney and a lesbian mayor boasts a multitude of gay attractions.  The Diversionary Theatre is sure to please.  One of the most respected gay and lesbian theatres in the country, it produces critically acclaimed performances specifically targeted to the gay community.  After you’ve had your artistic fill, head to Black’s Beach in La Jolla to perfect your summer glow.  Clothing optional.
