The Heartland of Gay Culture

Chicago is the pulse of gay life in the Midwest. From atop famous architectural landmarks such as the Sears Tower and the Hancock Building, the view of Lake Michigan outlines a vast metropolis booming with culture, art and nightlife. Downtown Chicago is home to the upscale hotels, restaurants and shops that top the list of any gay traveler.

One of the premier gay and lesbian travel destinations, Chicago is a host to a number of gay pride events throughout the year. From the Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival in the fall to the International Mr. Leather competition in the spring, there’s always something happening in Chicago’s gay community.
